A UI for MongoDB

3 Sep

ROCKMONGO is the coolest and easy to install GUI for Mongodb users. Here it is as to how to set it up on Ubuntu 12.04

For Rockmongo to work, it needs php and webserver, so lets go with apache
– sudo apt-get install apache2 php5 php-pear

Install PHP Mongo connector
– sudo pecl install mongo

In the file /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini add the following line under “Dynamic Extensions”
– extension=mongo.so

Restart apache
– sudo service apache2 restart

– Download Rockmongo from here and extract

– Copy the extracted folder to /var/www
eg: sudo cp -r /home/aarthi/Downloads/rockmongo /var/www

– Go to url http://localhost/rockmongo/index.php and login with username : admin, password: admin(these are default)

Here you ‘ROCK’mongo !!!
